Russia’s wage arrears fall 16% in January–September to 1 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Nov 2 (PRIME) – Russia’s wage arrears decreased by 16% in January–September to 1.369 billion rubles as of October 1, the press office of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said in a statement on Tuesday.

“According to the Federal State Statistics Service, combined wage arrears amounted to 1 billion 369 million rubles as of October 1. As compared with January 1, 2021, the amount of arrears decreased by 259.3 million rubles or by almost 16%,” the statement read.

Companies of the processing industry accounted to 41.9% of the arrears, while the construction industry for 17.2%, the agriculture, hunting, and timber industries for 12.7%, the healthcare and social industries for 6.3%, the transport industry for 6%, and the mining industry for 5.3%.
